Actually, that is not the question. I’m quite certain that I want to keep this blog going.
The real question is this: To Write or To Write Well.
It turns out that whenever I type text straight into the textbox, like I’m doing now, I end up writing crappy posts. But when I work many iterations on my writing, I take too long and end up not posting at all.
So its either bad posts, or no posts at all. I post bad write-ups, and readers get pissed off; I don’t post anything, and search engines get pissed off. I have to choose my own poison.

I installed Safari 3 beta on my Windows machine today, just to try it out. Apple claims that Safari is really fast, and in my experience, I found this to be true.
Despite what Joel Spolksy thinks, I find that I like the font rendering in Safari. I’m sure that everybody either loves it or hates it.
Even if Safari does not replace any existing Windows browser in the future, getting Safari to run on Windows is still a good thing for Apple. Just having a copy of Safari installed on all those web developers’ machines means that they might consider trying out their applications in Safari, and make them work. Of course they may choose not to do so. But now they can, if they want to. More web applications would now be supported on Safari. There may be a only a teeny-weeny percentage of people in the world using Safari. But despite this, Safari may get acceptance as one of the mainstream browsers.
The one thing I really liked about Safari is its address bar autocomplete feature. You’re probably thinking that all browsers have this feature, and whats so great about it. What pleasantly surprised me was the accuracy. Safari always seemed to get it right. IE 7 is horrible when it comes to this. There seem to be a bazillion choices to choose from. Firefox is much better. But with Safari, it seemed like magic. Safari knew exactly the page I wanted to open. I don’t know how they do it.
I also really liked the in-page search — the way the search key words stick out the page.
There are still a lot of kinks to iron out. I even got the browser to crash once.
You should probably give it a shot yourself, and let me know if you agree.
Here’s a good review that Najeed pointed out.

Bangalore roads are finally getting painted.
Drivers in Bangalore continually complain about how the traffic is so unruly. Everyone, including the government, complains that people don’t follow lane discipline. The sad reality is that there were no lanes painted on the roads, and nothing was ever done to educate the general public about the meaning of the sign boards that read: “Please follow lane discipline.”
Over the last few weeks, I notice that a number of roads are being painted. They’re doing a very neat job.
It is surprising how the very presence of these marks on the road forces you to align yourself to some unspoken rule. I hope this causes some relief to the people who suffer in the traffic.
On the down side, this causes people to drive faster. Because of the poor lighting at night, people tend to use their head lights at full beam when they go faster.
Also since the roads now have a highway-ish feel, drivers tend to care less about pedestrians trying to cross the road while standing on the median.

OMG! Amitabh Bachchan in is trouble over some property matters. Now although it was his own fault that he falsely declared himself a farmer to buy 24 acres of land, I’m pretty sure that this is going to be blamed on his unlucky daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
